0 G Tunnel

I have been weirdly obsessed with sci-fi anime lately and I watched a lot of them.

Some people from the previous generations did have a great imagination for the future. They imagined space travels, space adventures, space fights, space cowboys, space hunters, etc but if they were to see us, the future generation, sharing memes on the Internet, how will their faces look like?

I realized that technology is humans’ continuous innovation which changes our lifestyles while by itself, it degrades. I think it applies the same to our way of living as well. If a person who is moving forward days after days doesn’t involve in something innovating, that person is degrading. Always sharpen your knife so that it will still sharp or else it will become dull.

I was fascinated by the transportation methods I saw in sci-fi anime. There were space ships, space flights, and space cars. One thing that drew the most attention out of me was tunnels. Tunnels are cool.

As I was looking at tunnels, I thought of two words: “zero gravity”. As I became interested in zero G, I read some papers I found on the Internet. I am glad that it is possible to simulate micro gravity. Of course, there are still a lot of limitations.

If simulating zero G in a tunnel and uses it as a commute is possible, our lifestyle will become a lot easier. We can eliminate cars which produce a large amount of carbon dioxide. And, it is a cool way of exercising. It also fulfills the previous generation’s wild sci-fi fantasies.

I want to experience a zero G commute.
