Shall-chan is very expressive with her eyes and possesses a high pitched voice.
Neighbor’s dogs were barking. Shall-chan barked suddenly with her penetrating voice which annoyed me who was focusing on falling asleep. I scolded her.
“Shall-chan, your voice is too loud that it can give me a heart attack. Why the hell are you barking for? To share information? Do you trust neighbor’s dogs? What if the information you shared for other dogs is misinformation? Do you know what will happen? Being uninformed will lead to a lack of actions but being misinformed will lead to wrong decisions. If some dogs make wrong decisions and suffer from its consequences, will you be responsible?”
Shall-chan looked at me like, “I don’t give a f**k.” Her attitude slightly provoked me.
“You see, I’m trying to fall asleep. I have insomnia. Once I open my eyes, taming my consciousness and senses to calm at night is very difficult and tiring for me. But, you disturbed it. I consider you as an intellectual dog but why are you acting like this?” I asked her.
Shall-chan is like, “Only a human being like you, think yourself as an intellectual.”
I became furious. “Maybe we are just ant-like existences in some creatures’ eyes but do you think being a human is easy? Growing up is very painful. Shall-chan, for you, it may be eating, playing, and sleeping but it isn’t the same for us. We experience dark and light. We gain some but we lost many. We need to prove our values and worth. And to us, being alive needs meaning.”
Shall-chan acted like, “You are really a nagging monster. Being with you is very noisy.” and she went downstairs.
I looked at the sky through the window near me.
What is the brightest star in the sky?
Of course, it is Sirius, the “Dog Star”.
I picked a fight with Shall-chan because I couldn’t fall asleep.
