Mountain Conqueror

Climbing mountains two consecutive days made me feel like a mountain conqueror.

The first mountain I climbed on Saturday is only above a thousand feet high. The mountain environment was repaired as well. It didn’t take long and it was not tiring. I was a bit unsatisfied. I wanted to go wild.

I told my mind to my sister. Total of eight people: my sister, her friend, her friend’s lackey, my aunt, me, my dad, and his two colleagues decided to climb the highest mountain in the state. We started our journey the next day.

We passed by thousands of paddy fields. The mountain is in a very remote area. It took about an hour and 45 minutes to reach the bottom of the mountain by car. There exists a temple at the bottom of the mountain and a monk is living there. We received some information about the mountain from the monk. My dad said that he would stay behind. Then, we started climbing the mountain.

The mountain is 5010 feet high. It is steep and wild. I only climbed about 500 or 600 feet and I almost passed out (Okay, you can laugh at me). My heart beat too fast and my vision became blur. I said I couldn’t climb anymore. My aunt left behind with me and the rest continued. I sat on a stone for a long time. After regaining a clear vision, I tried to walk but my legs were shaking. I couldn’t walk properly even though my aunt was supporting me. I dragged myself down the mountain since mosquitoes and insects we never saw before were disturbing us.

We were resting at the temple. I wondered why did I decide to take such a risk. Then, I realized that I was madly in love. People said that love makes you blind and it is true. This is what happened when you watch JoJo: Stardust Crusaders the whole Friday. I was very passionate about adventures. I wanted to shout “JoJo Daisuki!!!” from the top of a mountain.

Sometimes, you are very passionate but your body can’t keep up with your passion. Even an extremely ambitious guy like Dio didn’t end up well. When I was a teenager, I was also very ambitious. I wanted to know everything. I wanted to conquer all knowledge in the universe. Later, I came to realize that my ambition is just my ignorance. This world isn’t for ambitious people.

Soon, I saw my sister coming toward us. She told us that she reached about 1000 or 1500 feet but she also couldn’t climb anymore and came back. The rest continued climbing. I persuaded everyone and I started this trip. I was scolded by my sister for not being able to perform what I said. She said, “Your words are too big. You have nothing but passion. Do not believe that you can do everything with your passion.”

The monk offered us ingredients for lunch. When my aunt and my sister were cooking, I was roaming around. Heavy rain started falling. We had lunch. The rain stopped. We were waiting for the rest of the climbers. There was no phone line and the Internet. It was boring. So, we took a lot of photos.

After a few hours, we saw the rest of the climbers walking towards us. Then, they ate lunch at the temple. Although the rain caused some trouble for them, they reached the top of the mountain. After a small talk with the monk, we decided to return home.

On the way back, there was a muddy road because of the rain. The first car tried to pass the road. The car’s wheels were slippery and the car was shaking. It was going whatever direction it wanted. It was like the car drank too much beer. It was funny to look at it. Soon, the front right wheel of the car sank into the mud.

We all got out of the car and gathered stones, sand, and branches of trees. Then, we dug the mud, put stones there, and covered them with the sand. While the car was struggling, people pushed it from behind and finally, the car successfully passed that area. The second car was able to pass the area without much effort.

When the car was struggling, I knew that nothing will happen but I felt excitement. I always find amusement and excitement in risking something for uncertainty. You don’t know how things will turn out and it is the best feeling for me. I love the state of being bizarre.

I will conquer mountains. Well, this is my way of showing love for my JoJos anyway.
